The moment we saw the controversial movie poster above, we knew we had to go see Dying Breed.Dying Breed is an Australian horror movie which follows a similar storyline to many American horror movies, such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Wrong Turn. The movie follows a group of young people who go off the beaten track in Tasmania and stumble across a group of cannibal hillbillies.
Although a bit overly familiar it is great fun to see this story in an Australian setting and the cast and crew do a great job in the acting, effects and cinemaphotography. There are some genuinely "icky moments and the movie is a lot of fun whilst still genuinely chilling. It is not recommended for the feint of heart or people who have just finished a meat pie. Featuring stars from Wolf Creek and Saw, Dying Breed is another excellent Australian contribution to the horror genre.
